WATERLAND is an international multicenter clinical trial promoted by erica in which two fluids will be compared in the early treatment of acute pancreatitis: lactated Ringer’s solution and normal saline.
In June 2023 we finished the REDcap-based electronic case report form based, after being reviewed and tested by several experts in pancreatology at international level. The study protocol is also finished, and during the month of June, we will finish the statistical analysis plan.
Several centers already have the permission of their IRBs, so we hope to be able to start recruiting the first patients in July 2023.
